A cross-platform visual design project for a women’s career event in Canada, focusing on workplace empowerment and gender equity.

I created cohesive visuals for event promotion and on-site branding, collaborating with sponsors like iQIYI and Fantuan Delivery, and supporting keynote speakers from Coursera, Tsinghua University, and more.

Her Career, Her Life

  • bold blue text reading "OK!" on soft pink background
  • frosted aluminum can with condensation on light blue background
  • Portrait of a woman eating an icecream
  • Abstract poster of red pink circle
  • Makeup products on a white background
  • beauty portrait with glossy lips and voluminous curly hair on lavender background
  • Person surfing on the waves in the ocean
  • minimalist illustration of white lightbulb with orange base on golden yellow and teal geometric background

As the lead designer, I was responsible for the visual design of a women’s career development event held in Canada, focusing on the theme “Opportunities and Challenges for Women in the Workplace.” The event aimed to support and empower women at different stages of their professional journeys through open discussion and shared experiences.

My design contributions spanned across multiple aspects of the event, including:

  • Pre-event promotional materials: Social media graphics, digital banners, and speaker introductions

  • On-site visual design: Stage backdrop, signage, check-in area visuals, and thematic quotes

  • Brand integration: I ensured visual consistency while incorporating branding elements from multiple sponsors and organizers

Featured guest speakers included:

  • Sophia Qiao, Head of Marketing, iQIYI North America

  • Jade Shi, Director of Career Development, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University

  • Constance Wen, General Manager, Dealmoon Canada

  • Minjia Zhu, Senior AI Data Engineer, Coursera

Major sponsors included iQIYI North America and Fantuan Delivery, among others.

This project was a valuable opportunity for me to blend design with a meaningful social cause. It not only challenged my creative problem-solving skills across different platforms and environments, but also deepened my understanding of how design can amplify messages around equity and empowerment.
